If you've just bought an Android phone you might find that there aren't many 'useful' apps on it yet.
What I have on my phone:
Astro File Manager - like having Windows Explorer on your phone.
OI Shopping List - better than Post-It notes...
Advanced Task Killer Free - works like the task manager - for when everything goes wrong...
Amazon Kindle - for reading stuff...
Opera Mini - a decent browser that can sync information if you use Opera on your PC
BatteryTime LITE - displays the battery power as a percentage in the top left corner - extremely handy.
Twitter - definitely worth getting, and has a lot more functionality than Peep.
Dropbox - if you have a dropbox account, this app is a must-have.
Skype - for camera chatting.
Google+ - a pretty large app for what it is but still useful...
Staticon is *the* best application for monitoring Steam achievements.
